St. Mary’s offers a five-day camp for 7th- through 11th-graders that will teach them the basics behind the development of computer software. Campers will also have the opportunity to explore two major areas of software: computer games and cybersecurity.

About the Camp

Software: You cannot see, hear, or touch it, but it is the driving force behind any electronic device you use, from smartphones and computer games to televisions and cars. Without software, none of these electronic devices would be useful.

St. Mary’s offers a five-day camp for seventh- through 11th-graders that will teach them the basics behind the development of computer software. Campers will also have the opportunity to explore two major areas of software: computer games and cybersecurity.

They will learn about:

  • Computers and codes through hands-on activities
  • The C programming language with paired programming
  • Game development by creating computer games
  • Cybersecurity with C# on personal computers

The camp’s hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
