2019 Summer Camp- San Antonio Botanical Garden

Explore the San Antonio Botanical Garden this summer with camps focused on hands-on exploration, nature-inspired art, ecology and botany.

From Eco-Explorers to Little Gardeners and CHEF Cooking Camp, the Garden inspires budding naturalists, scientists, botanists, artists and chefs to dig deeper into the world of plants and fun!

Garden Members have access to early registration between Friday, February 1 and Friday, February 15. Registration for the non-members begins at 12:01 am on Saturday, February 16. Presale tickets are only available online.

Little Naturalists Camp (June 10-14) l Ages 3-5yrs | Campers must be accompanied by adult
Little ones explore nature with walks, crafts, songs and games.
10am-12p, Monday-Friday
$135 members/$150 non-members

Eco-Explorers I (June 10-14) | Ages 6-8yrs
Eco Explorers II (June 10-14) | Ages 9-12yrs

Explore nature as you learn outdoor skills, including birding, native plants and local mammals. Experts, from bats to bugs, lead talks, and have experts lead children through activities. We also make nature based crafts and play games.
9am-3pm, Monday-Friday
$225 members/$250 non-members

Little Gardeners Camp (June 24-28) | Ages 3-5yrs | Campers must be accompanied by adult
Little ones will have fun experiencing garden related crafts, stories, potting plants, and exploring the grounds of the Garden.
10am-12pm, Monday-Friday
$135 members/$150 non-members

Junior Gardener Camp I (June 24-28) | Ages 6-8yrs
Junior Gardener Camp II (June 24-28) | Ages 9-12yrs
Building planter boxes, growing herbs, experiences Japanese floral design, and learning about garden insects are just some of the activities in the Junior Gardener Camp.
9am-3pm, Monday-Friday
$225 members/$250 non-members

Science Camp I (July 8-12) | Ages 6-8yrs
Science Camp II (July 8-12) | Ages 9-12yrs
Science Rules! Campers will conduct experiments, use lab equipment, and learn to follow the scientific method while exploring the Garden. Pond dipping, solar ovens, photosynthesis lab, and other activities await!
9am-3pm Monday-Friday

Urban Jungle Eco-Art Camp I (July 22-26) | Ages 6-8yrs
Urban Jungle Eco-Art Camp II (July 22-26) | Ages 9-12yrs
Get creative in the Garden! Children will work with paint, clay, natural materials, and others to create and learn about many forms of art.
9am-3pm, Monday-Friday
$225 members/$250 non-members

Teen CHEF 101 (July 8-12) | Ages 15-18yrs
Designed for high school students, this camp will teach cooking fundamentals that will serve young chefs now and in the future. Teen Chef 101 will combine kitchen fun and science, as well as address food sourcing, sound nutrition, and understanding food labels.
9am-3pm, Monday-Friday

CHEF Cooking Camp II (June 24-28) | Ages 12-14yrs
Advanced CHEF Cooking Camp (July 15-19) | Ages 9-13yrs*
Future chefs can hone their skills in the Garden! Tour the Botanical Garden with our very own Chef Dave and discover interesting varieties of fruits and vegetables. Learn kitchen skills while helping create fun new recipes with produce right out of the culinary garden! (*Advanced CHEF Cooking Camp is recommended for chefs who have taken CHEF Cooking Camp I)
