Texas Free-tailed Bats for Kids at Milberger's

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 05/26/2018
Your kids will learn about the benefits and habits of this Texas treasure.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

The presentation is provided by personnel from the Old Tunnel State Park, located in Fredricksburg Texas.

It’s an old Northern Railroad tunnel that closed in 1942 and is now colonized by millions of Free-tail bats.

The class will cover an overview of ‘Bats of the World’ and the benefits provided by these bats, their contributions to Texas agriculture, as well as some of the concerns the public may have regarding safety and health issues related to the bat population.

There also is a crafts exercise for the kids. This should be a very interesting and popular class.

Milberger’s Kids Gardeing Classes are free and we provide all the materials but be sure to call to reserve your spot because class size is limited. 210-497-3760.
