Visit The Shops at La Cantera for Día de los Muertos City Celebration Kick-off. Join us for a Día de los Muertos kick-off city celebration with a special musical performance by Tallercito de Son and the uniquely large and colorful Las Monas puppet performance group. El Tallercito de Son performs and teaches Son Jarocho, a traditional style of music and dance that originates from Veracruz Mexico. The mojiganga giant puppet (6 to 18 feet tall) will be onsite.

Día de los Muertos (Muertos Fest) Main Celebration will be hosted at Hemisfair with a FREE two-day festival on October 23rd and 24th. What began as San Antonio’s beloved Día de los Muertos cultural event has become one the nation’s top destinations to celebrate the Day of the Dead. Listed as one of the “7 Best Fall Festivals in the USA” by National Geographic, Muertos Fest merges traditional Día de los Muertos elements with local art, food, live music and entertainment.
