Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Please Note: This is a Virtual program. Participants will receive a ZOOM link to the program via email once they have registered.

All indigenous peoples - like those of the Hopi, Paiute, Cheyenne, Cherokee, and Iroquois - lived in a web of living relationships that extended from their human communities to their plant and animal communities. Survival depended upon these networks and honoring them appropriately. Despite Colonial Settler invasions, Native Peoples have survived and they are reclaiming not only their lands and heritages, but their traditional, healthy foods as well (Food Sovereignty).

Join us for this engaging talk by Dr. Laurie Weinstein of the Jane Goodall Permaculture Garden at Western Connecticut State University. Her talk will discuss Native American food systems and their relationship to the environments in which they were situated.

Free! Registration Required.
