Calling all EV3 robotics enthusiasts! The goal of each year’s Code4Bots Lego EV3 Challenge is to help kids see themselves as capable of improving the lives of others through addressing real-world problems. The theme for this year’s challenge is Forces of Nature where campers will explore ways to use robotics to help humans master natural disasters related to earthquakes, Tsunami waves, cyclones, fires and hurricanes.
Campers immerse themselves in engineering concepts, software programming and troubleshooting, as they will learn about mechanical and software design, programming logic such as loops and conditional statements, and how to use sensors. Students will use these skills to solve mission-based problems in a competitive and cooperative learning environment. The mission-based challenges will include robot task that require obstacle avoidance, navigating a maze, pick up and carry objects, as well as fetching and retrieving objects. Campers build and code creative robots with attachments to solve problems as they share their ideas with others while having fun!
