Wish: Water Lanterns in the Garden

Light up the San Antonio Botanical Garden and celebrate life together with family and friends at Wish: Water Lanterns in the Garden. This memorable evening, inspired by traditional Japanese floating and hung lanterns, brings together people of all ages to make a wish of hope, healing, love and happiness for the new year. Purchase a lantern (limited quantities available), write a message, and experience the magic of the lights reflecting upon the water. Wish: Water Lanterns in the Garden will feature live music and luminaria lit pathways. Food and drinks available for purchase.

Purchasing water lanterns in advance is highly encouraged. Water lanterns are available in limited quantities.
Guests are welcome to bring a homemade lantern to light their path while viewing the Botanical Garden and OrigamiintheGarden² sculptures. Follow this video for a simple way to make your own lantern (only battery powered lights, please).
