Put your thinking caps on and get ready for a scavenger hunt on the Merrick Mile. Join a park ranger to discover how naturalists use their eyes, ears, and noses! The Merrick Mile is an unpaved, easy-moderate trail with an elevation gain of about 120ft, so get ready for an adventure!
- We will meet right outside of headquarters.
- You will have up to 1 hour to complete the scavenger hunt!
- What to bring: Water, sturdy hiking shoes, hats, and sunscreen.
- Fees: Free with park admission. Park entrance fees are $6 per adult (13 years of age and older), free for children under 13.
- Note: Naturalists in Training is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. Be sure to call headquarters the day of the scavenger hunt to ask if the trails are open!
