2026 Texas 4-H International Exchange (Inbound Summer Program)
Our Summer Inbound programs bring youth to the U.S. each summer to stay with a host family for 4 weeks. Based on a complete cultural immersion model, a Japanese youth is matched with a volunteer Texas family who wants to share their life with an international visitor!

The Texas 4-H Program is proud to announce the 2026 States' 4-H International Exchange Summer Hosting Program! For over 20 years, Texan families have opened their hearts and homes to internation youth across the globe, sharing our rich Texan culture and learning about theirs.
Program Details:
- Interested host families & host siblings must commit to a 4-week homestay for a Japanese youth (12-18 yrs.). The host period will take place over the summer (July 21-August 16, 2026). *Note: Host families/siblings are not required to be 4-H members.
- Families must have a child of the same gender and within 4 yrs. of the hosted youth. Families without children may host an adult chaperone for a 2-week or 4-week homestay.
- Youth have a range of English language abilities, so host families should be prepared to communicate imaginatively.
