A mainstay in Spanish festivals and parades are Cabezudos (“giants” or “big heads”), which feature large paper-mâché heads paired with ornate costumes—often inspired by religious figures and popular culture.

Famed Spanish folk artists Ventura&Hosta cartrons travel from Catalonia, Spain, to share this artistic tradition with San Antonio and embark on a two-week residency at Southwest School of Art

The Tricentennial-inspired Cabezudos Parade will debut at the Pearl Farmers Market - San Antonio, TX and culminate at Pearl Park with a live performance by Volcán, the 13-piece Indie-Latin Orchestra based in South Texas.

This event is free and open to the public. Parade starts at 10 a.m.; live music from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
