Join us at the Science Mill for Engineering Weekend! Tinker, create, and think outside the box as you engage with exciting hands-on activities.
FEBRUARY 15 (SATURDAY), 10AM - 4PM
Guests can design, test and problem-solve alongside special guests from the Austin branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). They’ll help turn everyday objects into engineering marvels as you explore the engineering design process and the collaborative nature of engineering.

On February 16 and February 17 (Presidents’ Day), continue your tinkering with engineering-focused pop-up exhibits at the Science Mill.
- ImPASTAble Bridge Building - Calling all engineers! Get ready for an imPASTAble challenge: build the strongest bridge using only spaghetti noodles and marshmallows! It’s a test of creativity and skill as you design a bridge that can stand strong. Can your engineering expertise create a bridge that holds up under pressure?
- Can You Catapult? - Get ready to LAUNCH into engineering! Build your own mini catapult out of household materials. Then prepare to put both your engineering and marksmanship skills to the test!
