Game Builder: Creating with Construct 3

Game Builder: Creating with Construct 3 (1-Day Camp) Step into the shoes of a real game developer for an action-packed day of creativity, logic, and design! In this immersive 1-day camp, campers go beyond just playing games to get an exciting behind-the-scenes look at how their favorite digital worlds are made. Using Construct 3—a powerful, industry-standard 2D game engine—students will learn the core fundamentals of game mechanics, event-driven block coding, animation, and level design. Throughout the day, campers will tackle hands-on projects that start simple and grow as their confidence builds. They will design customized player characters, program interactive obstacles, build custom physics, and write logical conditions to create fully playable games. Working alongside fellow young creators, students will test, debug, and refine their projects in real-time, gaining valuable critical thinking and problem-solving skills along the way. By the end of the day, campers won't just leave with functional games they built from scratch to share with family and friends—they'll discover firsthand that designing and coding games is even more fun than playing them!
