In this 8-week DJ workshop, learners will explore the exciting world of DJing using the djay Pro app. Together, we’ll learn the basics of mixing music, from beatmatching and EQ to creative tools like loops, hot cues, and effects. By the end of the course, each learner will prepare and perform a short DJ set to showcase their new skills.

What will be taught?
Students will learn the fundamentals of DJing: beatmatching, transitions, EQ control, loops, hot cues, effects, playlist building, and performance techniques. They’ll also gain confidence in rhythm, timing, and creative self-expression through music.

How is your class structured?
Each class begins with a short lesson and live demo, followed by guided practice in the djay Pro app. Learners will have time to try techniques on their own while receiving feedback. Homework assignments encourage practice between sessions, leading up to the final performance.

How will you teach?
I use a hands-on, step-by-step approach with screen sharing, live demos, and interactive practice. Lessons include visuals, breakdowns of music structure, and real DJ examples. Every learner will get the chance to practice live in class, ask questions, and get feedback.

What’s your teaching style?
My teaching style is encouraging, interactive, and creative. I focus on building confidence and helping learners find their own style while learning the core skills of DJing. I believe in making music education both fun and empowering.

How much will learners get to interact with you?
Learners will interact with me throughout every class. Each session includes direct instruction, group discussion, live Q&A, and individual feedback while students practice on their own devices. Students are encouraged to share their mixes, ask questions, and collaborate in class.
