Learn to Play Dungeons & Dragons!

*The event has already taken place on this date: Tue, 02/24/2026
Learn to play the popular role playing game Dungeons & Dragons! This fun and imaginative game will take our party of kids on an adventure where they can solve problems, work together, and be heroes!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Welcome to adventure! Let's help a town solve their monster problem! Learn the rules of Dungeons & Dragons, meet new people, and start building your community!

If you're not familiar with D&D (as seen in movies/TV shows like Stranger Things, Critical Role, and D&D Honor Among Thieves), it's a collaborative roleplaying game that uses dice, improv, and character sheets to tell a story. Having years of experience touring educational theater to elementary, middle, and high school students that focused on mental health, I bring a Social and Emotional Learning emphasis to the games that I run.

In addition to D&D providing an imagination based, creative, and social outlet/community to kids, it also promotes:
- empathy
- teamwork
- conflict management
- problem solving
- interpersonal skills
- practicing simple math
- and more!

Our party will be led through a story where their actions, decisions, and imaginations will affect what happens! Here's what you'll need:
- a computer
- a webcam
- a microphone
- internet
- a set of physical D&D dice, digital ones are also available!
