Making the Art You’ve Always Wanted: Drawing and Painting [Online]

Grades: 4th-8th (Fall 2020)
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., then 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Instructor: Amy Oliveri
Campers will receive a box of art supplies that they will use throughout the week as they learn how to draw portraits, still lives, and paint abstract compositions. This low-stress art-making experience will provide you with guided steps to making unique and individual creations. Ms. Oliveri will share some tips and tricks from her years as an artist and illustrator that will help you make the kind of art you love.
What Will a Sample Day Look Like for a Participating Camper?
Students will login in for a morning meeting, demonstrations, and/or instruction. Participants will be given activities to practice art and painting skills throughout the day. We will meet again after lunch to discuss progress, critique artwork, and play games.
Will the Program Run Through Zoom or Video Recordings or something similar?
This program will be done through a combination of zoom calls and pre-recorded content for students to access both during camp and after it has ended. You can download Zoom for free: https://zoom.us/.
What Supplies Will Campers Need to Participate in Your Program? Computer with access to the internet. A box of supplies will be sent prior to the start of camp.
