Memorial Day Weekend At The Lone Star Flight Museum

The Lone Star Flight Museum will host Wings of Vietnam, a static aircraft display featuring more than dozen a Vietnam War-era aircraft, along with hangar talks, free flight simulator usage, family-friendly poppy rock painting and other activities to honor and remember United States military men and women who gave their life in service to our nation. The exhibit lineup includes the F-4, NASA’s T-38, CH-46 Sea Knight, T-28, F-100 and the A-1D Skyraider, just to name a few. The museum will be open all weekend, including Monday, the Vietnam era aircraft is a special exhibition that will be available Saturday only, weather permitting. Don’t miss out on the ramp action! Shortly after 10 a.m., the T/A-4 will taxi and take off to make a few laps around the airport for museum spectators. Aviation enthusiasts will want to arrive at 10 a.m. when the museum opens to catch every moment of excitement.

- 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Plane of the Month Hangar Talk,

The museum is offering discounted admission on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, at $10 for all visitors age 5 and older. Admission is always free for museum members and children 4 and under.

The Family Summer Pass is valid from Memorial Day through Labor Day, Sept. 7. During this time, The Lone Star Flight Museum will be open daily, including Mondays.
