Dear Friends,
In 2016 the Sisters of Divine Providence celebrated 150 years since the Sisters arrived in the great state of Texas! For 150 years we Sisters have been blessed to serve the citizens of our beloved city, San Antonio, and have extended that outreach to the U.S. and Mexico. We have an amazing Providence story to share with the people we serve! Our Provident God has helped us every step of the way to provide for the needs of the people of God through education, health care, social services and pastoral, spiritual care for all who seek our assistance.
Whenever we have needed help to move forward to expand our services to benefit those entrusted to our care, we have always reached out to those who partner with us to provide the best help we can give. We count on our Provident God and count on those who can assist us.
We are an International Community of Divine Providence Sisters, founded in France 254 years ago. To honor our Jubilee, we feel our Providence Story should be celebrated and shared with all the people of God. It is an inspiring, hope filled, amazing story! We are offering the opportunity for students to go to the homeland of France to walk in the footsteps of our Founder, Blessed John Martin Moye, July 12-24, 2017. We want them to know our heritage and to have the opportunity to grow in Providence Spirituality as they partner with us as we serve those in need. For us to reach out extensively with our story, we have invited film professional Mr. Richard Striebel (Lupe Arte) and Our Lady of the Lake Television staff, who have the training and expertize in this field, to go on this pilgrimage to film a documentary of the pilgrim's experience and the Sisters' history.
To make it financially possible to provide the France Pilgrimage for the students and for the professionals to do an outstanding job of filming and writing our story, we need financial assistance.
