*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 11/26/2022
Shorter programs that are topic specific teach students what they are most interested in. Considering current trends and how they affect our current and future financial success, workshops are a fun way for youth to stay in the know.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Exchange-traded funds, or ETFs, are pooled investment securities that help to diversify your portfolio. Sector ETFs are specifically invested in a particular industry or sector. Those sectors include energy, materials, consumer discretionary, health care, and more. In this workshop, we will go over how ETFs play a role in diversification and use examples of popular ETFs such as JETS (airline ETFs) and SPY(SPDR S&P 500 Trust).
In this workshop, students will learn:
- What is an ETF?
- What is a Sector ETF?
- Why and how does an ETF allow a person to invest in a market sector that they are interested in?
