River Rodeo is more than a fishing competition. By submitting species, size, and general location data, participants contribute valuable information that supports fisheries research, river management, and conservation efforts along the San Antonio River.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or casting a line for the first time, River Rodeo celebrates the San Antonio River as a safe, clean, and enjoyable place to fish.
Kickoff Event – April 4, 2026
River Rodeo officially launches with a special opening-day fishing clinic hosted in partnership with the Fin Addict Angler Foundation.
The kickoff event offers hands-on instruction, beginner-friendly guidance, and assistance with MyCatch registration to help anglers get started for the season.
