San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet presents Hansel and Gretel

Hansel and Gretel brings a classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale to life on stage. A dark tale of two children sent into the woods to gather strawberries, where they joyously play as children do. They soon lose track of time and are lulled to sleep by the Sandman. Woken by daylight, they soon come across a house made of gingerbread and candies, but beware, because things are not always what they seem. This delightful masterpiece brings together people of all ages, deceptively combining joyful music underscored with lessons to learn that still hold true to this day.
