School Discovery Day with San Antonio Charter Moms at O.P. Schnabel Park

Searching for the best school for your child? Visit San Antonio Charter Moms' FREE School Discovery Day and meet amazing schools! Choice school enrollment season for the 2022-2023 school year is here! To help families through the process, San Antonio Charter Moms is hosting a series of School Discovery Days through March with its next on January 15th at O.P. Schnabel Park. Families will have the opportunity to meet school representatives from 12 top San Antonio choice schools, ask questions, get on interest lists and learn about application processes and deadlines. Additionally, families can receive hands-on guidance from the San Antonio Charter Moms team on navigating the nonprofit’s online tools and resources designed to simplify the search and application process. Participating schools include:
- Anne Frank Inspire Academy
- BASIS Charter Schools
- Brooks Academies
- Great Hearts Texas
- CAST Schools
- Compass Rose Public Schools
- The Gathering Place
- Harmony Public Schools
- IDEA Public Schools
- Saint Mary Magdalen School
- San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) Choice Schools
- School of Science and Technology and
- Celebrate Dyslexia Schools (a proposed charter school)
During the information-packed event, have fun with these additional activities:
- Enjoy specialty hot dogs and hot chocolate from Doolittle’s Mobile Kitchen
- Dance to the beats with young DJs from the AM Project
- Meet the animals from Once in a Wild’s mobile petting zoo
- Get fancy with face painting
- Enjoy a cushioned playground at O.P. Schnabel Park
- Hike along the connecting Leon Creek Greenway
- Spin the prize will at San Antonio Charter Moms’ table to enter the raffle for fun prizes!
