Summer Camps at the Botanical Gardens

Registration Policies

• Participants are encouraged to register early. Classes will be cancelled if they do not meet the minimum registered enrollment by three business days prior to the class.
• Payment is due at the time of registration. You are not registered until payment is made in full.

Refunds/Cancellations

• Refunds will be issued, minus a $5 processing fee, when you cancel five business days prior to the start of class. No refunds will be made after that date. Refunds are not issued for missed classes.
• If the Botanical Garden must cancel a class, you will be notified and receive a full refund.

Camps

Art Camp (June 13-17)- Get creative in the Garden! Children will work with paint, clay, natural materials, and others to create and learn about many forms of art. Two age ranges: 6-8yrs, and 9-12yrs; 9-3pm, Mon.-Fri. $180 members/$200 non-members

Jr. Art Camp (June 13-17)- For ages 3-5 yrs., children will explore various art mediums, including paint, clay, natural materials, and other forms of art. 10-12pm, Mon.-Fri.. A parent must stay with the child. $108 members/$120 non-members

Junior Naturalist Camp (June 20-24)– Explore nature as you learn outdoor skills, including birding, native plants and local mammals. Experts, from bats to bugs, lead talks. We will focus on Winged Wonders, which are butterflies and birds, and have experts lead children through activities. We also make nature based crafts and play games. Two age ranges: 6-8yrs, and 9-12yrs; 9-3pm, Mon.-Fri. $180 members/$200 non-members

Little Naturalists Camp (June 20-24)- Little ones (ages 3-5) explore nature with walks, crafts, songs and games. 10-12p, Mon.-Fri. A parent must stay with the child. $108 members/$120 non-members

Storybook Houses Camp (June 27-July 1)- Games, crafts, and activities themed around our Spring/Summer exhibit of Five storybook houses: Oh the Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss, Jack and the Beanstalk by Steven Kellogg, Diary of a Worm by Doreen Cronin, The Little House by Virginia Lee Burton, and Sleeping Beauty by The Brothers Grimm. Age ranges: 3-5yrs, 10-12pm. Mon.-Fri. A parent must stay with the child. $108 members/$120 non-members. 6-8 yrs., 9-3pm, Mon.-Fri. $180 members/$200 non-members

Junior Gardener Camp (July 11-15)– Participants get their hands dirty with flowers and vegetables, and learn basic botany skills. Experts discuss a range of topics, from bugs to Japanese gardening. Two age ranges; 6-8yrs, and 9-12yrs; 9-3pm Mon.-Fri. $180 members/$200 non-members

Little Gardeners Camp (July 11-15)- Children aged 3-5yrs. will have fun experiencing garden related crafts, stories, potting plants, and exploring the grounds of the Garden. 10-12pm, Mon.-Fri. A parent must stay with the child. $108 members/$120 non-members

Animal Botanical Special Needs Summer Camp (July18-22) – This multi-themed, five day camp is for youth with special needs. Animal Botanical activities include education on animals and plants living in the garden, crafts, exercise and music. Camp activities take place in the Garden and the air-conditioned Auld House. Our instructors are special education certified. Two age ranges; 7-12yrs, and 13-19yrs; 9-1pm. $172 members/ $190 non-members.

Science Camp (July 25-29)– Science Rules! Children will conduct experiments, use lab equipment, and learn to follow the scientific method while exploring the Garden. Pond dipping, water analysis, photosynthesis, and other activities await! Two age ranges; 6-8yrs, and 9-12yrs; 9-3pm Mon-Fri. $180 members/$200 non-members.
