In 2014, our founder, Sabrina Estevez began looking towards her daughter’s adult life. Madison has Down Syndrome and then 17, was exploring post high school options. Madison was and still is a performer at heart, not ready to work without supervision, limited with communication and loved school. It was important to Sabrina that Madison had the opportunity to continue to be exposed to continued learning, be involved in her community, and have a network of peers. In 2015, Brea's House of Arts was born (previously named Beach House Arts) with occasional classes and monthly socials. Fast forward to 2023, BHA now offers a full day program with an innovative daily planned curriculum in many subjects and fun off campus excursions.

Brea's House of Arts is life enrichment day program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide a daily curriculum designed to give real world meaning and purpose to our participants. Each week has a theme, those themes are put together based on the needs and interests of our participants to include but not limited to: Art in multimedium, Culinary Arts using adaptive items like an air fryer, Social Awareness utilizing social platforms, Relationship building and coaching with conflict and resolution strategies, Community inclusion with many opportunities to access recreational adventures, Fitness classes in Yoga, and Volunteering opportunities with community partners. Additionally, we have partnered with Dreams Fulfilled through music that offers music classes in Piano, Accordion and Bells utilizing the Colorsoundation method with recitals to showcase progress.
