Catalyst Writing & Education – Tutoring, Literacy Coaching & SAT Prep

Catalyst Writing & Education provides personalized academic coaching for students in grades 5–12, helping students strengthen reading, writing, and critical thinking while building confidence and independence as learners.

Founded by veteran educator Jennifer Wentlandt, Catalyst blends skill development with creativity and real-world thinking. Instead of relying on worksheets, students work with authentic texts and meaningful writing tasks that help them think deeply, write clearly, and develop a genuine connection to literature.

Students receive individualized support in reading comprehension, writing organization, and academic skills through one-on-one tutoring or small-group instruction. Jennifer works with a wide range of learners, including homeschool students and those who learn differently and benefit from a more personalized, flexible approach.

Services include reading and writing tutoring, academic coaching, middle school writing development, and SAT Reading & Writing preparation, as well as small-group workshops and summer courses.

Sessions are available in-person throughout San Antonio and online.
