Travel back in time and rediscover the joy of retro gaming and unleash your inner game developer! This summer camp invites young coders to step back in time and create their very own retro arcade games using the programmable Retro Arcade game console and MakeCode Arcade platform. Participants will bring their game ideas to life, combining creativity and coding skills to design playable adventures straight out of the golden age of gaming.
Throughout the camp, attendees will:
• Learn the fundamentals of coding and game design using MakeCode Arcade.
• Develop their own unique retro-style games, complete with custom characters, obstacles, and levels.
• Test their games on the Retro Arcade console, experiencing the thrill of playing their creations on actual hardware.
• Collaborate with fellow campers, sharing tips, feedback, and inspiration as they polish their masterpieces.
