Math skills (measuring, estimating, using & converting fractions)
Body measurements
How to use a sewing machine

YMCA E-Learning Support
Mays Family YMCA at Potranco

The YMCA is offering virtual learning support and all-day care for youth ages 5 to 13, through October 16. We invite youth to join us each week for studies and fun as the YMCA provides Wi-Fi, support with virtual classrooms, school work completion, and engaging activities. Details and What to Expect:

  •  Masks are encouraged for all children and required for children over 10.
  •  Y Staff greet parents at the front of the building and escort children into the facility. Per CDC guidelines, parents should not enter the building unless absolutely necessary,
  • Y staff takes the temperature of each child prior to accepting the child for the day. Any child with a fever will not be permitted to attend.
  • Children wash their hands upon entering the building before joining their group.
  • Children are divided into smaller groups and spaced throughout the facility. 
  • YMCA staff are assigned to clean throughout the day and the facility will be cleaned prior to children entering the next day.
  • Morning & afternoon snack is provided.
  • All sites are HHS or TDH licensed.
  • All staff pass background checks.
  • All staff are CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens Certified.

Petit Architect

Maïa Tarassoff started Petit Architect in 2017, with the mandate to make architecture more accessible to children and youth and inspire them to become educated citizens involved in their cities. She teaches fun, hands-on after-school programs and intervenes in schools, for all ages ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Her curriculum is focused on sustainability, social impact and energy efficiency. In parallel, she continues to work as a passive house and interior designer.
