At Magik Theatre, young people are at the heart of everything we do, and community is what we champion. Theatre allows us to bring families together and establish genuine connections with themselves and those around them. Through shared, rich experiences, we are able to engage families and communities to create memorable moments that lead to lifelong impact.
For 30 years, Magik Theatre has been committed to inspiring, entertaining, and educating young people and families in San Antonio, to create a more compassionate, literate, and creative city. At all levels of the organization, Magik endeavors to nurture children’s imagination, creativity, and a love of the arts through exceptional theatre experiences, academy classes, summer camps, and arts education. Magik Theatre embraces children’s literature and imagination in all forms, connecting community-minded arts programming and education through imaginative, engaging productions. With every production and educational outreach effort, three key objectives prevail:
- Engage children of all ages and all grade levels through professionally produced performances, outreach and education programs.
- Promote an “access for all” philosophy for patrons and guests, regardless of ability or economic circumstance
- Reflect an established set of core values at all times: Artistic Excellence, Discovery, Families and Community, Inclusivity, and Learning.
